The Clipper loses its pointed front, adopting the more flat 13 panel end cap seen on later Airstreams.  The rear keeps the pointed look of the pipe frame trailers.  The replacement conventional framed 17' Clipper doesn't arrive on the scene until late in the year (1953 model year)
