The 22 foot trailer was provided
in many "standard" configurations and each given different
model names. Since each trailer was customized by its buyer, this
further made no two late '50's 22 foot trailers alike. This is the
first year Airstream started standardizing serial numbers by trailer
length instead of model, and is one of the last years with multiple
trailer names for the same basic trailer.
The "Safari" usually
is recognizable by a dinette and 3 streetside windows.
