1956 Flying Cloud 22′

In one of Airstreams first attempts to limit the customization of its models, the Ohio factory experimented with the idea of adding the suffix “C” to base models to identify them as “Custom” ordered (20% premium) over the “Cruising” fleet. In this case this is really just a slightly modified Flying Cloud layout, the only real difference being a bath across the back and full height wardrobe drawers from a Caravanner. This practice only seemed to exist from 1956 through 1958.
