This one has been stripped with the intention of polishing it. Shows the steel end caps well, and also why you really can’t polish an Argosy. Many of the the aluminum panels used were blems and seconds, not good for an Airstream, but perfectly fine for a painted Argosy. The steel endcaps are more durable, and you will rarely find a dented Argosy in this area – no such luck with Airstreams.
