The 1969 models were the first year with the aluminum framed rounded corner Corning windows, replacing the frameless style of the previous 3 years. The body style changed, along with lengthening each model by one foot and 6 inches wider.

It as also the first year for the “in” styling of dark walnut and avocado green interior design.
